Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture for Sustainable Rural Development: Enhancing Resilience and Livelihoods in Zindajan District
This project aims to benefit 200 smallholder farmers in the Zindahan district. It focuses on three main outputs: in creased adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices, improved livelihoods of farmers, and enhanced resilience to climate change. The project will organize awareness campaigns and com munity meetings to engage farmers and local communities. Training workshops and demonstrations will be conducted to provide practical skills and knowledge on climate-smart practices. Quality seeds, organic fertilizers, and bio-pesti cides will be distributed to enhance agricultural productiv ity. Market linkage events will connect farmers with buyers, and post-harvest handling training will be provided to co operative members. Additionally, a hydroponic greenhouse will be established as a model, and field visits to successful farms will be ar ranged. Through these activities, the project aims to em power farmers, promote sustainable practices, and improve their livelihoods while building resilience to climate change.
